Working On Underground Electrical Mains

Underground cabling can be more costly to install initially, but far cheaper and less likely to have any issues in the long run—not to mention its hidden out of sight!


It might seem like a very simple task running some cables underground but there are a huge amount of rules, regulations and paperwork involved in getting it right. Many QLD electricians cross the border for the odd job in NSW and quickly become lost and confused which turns into weeks or possibly months of delays for everyone involved. We see this often!

Working On Overhead Electrical Mains

Although all new estates run underground cabling many properties still have overhead mains and this will be the case for a long time.

If you require an upgrade from single phase to three phase, upgrading outdated cabling or possible storm damage to your overheads we have got you covered. We usually climb poles but sometimes if needed we will use an EWP (elevated work platform) to get the job done.

Any new rural connections must be underground and can NOT be overhead. Sometimes there can be execptions. Check to see if your property is classed as rural here.
