This covers new connections, service alterations, and temporary disconnections/reconnections, all lodged directly with the network. ASP Level 2 is a NSW scheme, so this work is NSW only.

Connecting solar to the grid, upgrading your connection for a larger system, or adding a battery that changes your point of supply often requires Level 2 work at the meter and service line. We handle this alongside your solar installation so you’re not coordinating two separate trades.

Yes. If your renovation, extension or rewire requires the supply to be temporarily disconnected, we handle the full process — disconnection, coordinating with your electrician’s on-site work, and reconnection once it’s safe.

In most cases, yes — a granny flat or secondary dwelling usually needs a new or altered service connection, which is Level 2 work. We handle this as part of the overall electrical connection for your new build.

We hold ASP Level 2 authorisation in NSW and carry out network-side work on the Essential Energy network across Tweed Heads and the Northern Rivers. We don’t carry out Level 2 work on the Queensland (Energex) network.
